Empowering Women. Inspiring Families
SUS, a small village near Baner in Pimpri Chinchwad near Pune, Maharashtra. Two passionate women with a shared love for fashion came together to turn their dream into reality. Starting with a small shop, they expanded to 10 machines and built a skilled workforce. Their dedication and hard work led them to secure the prestigious SFURTI MSME government project. Along this journey, 2,000 women artisans joined hands with them, creating a strong community of empowered craftswomen. Today, they continue to inspire, uplift, and transform lives through their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to sustainable fashion.
With SUS village as its focal point, we selected women from a cluster of 13 villages in Pune to create modern, high-fashion garments as well as traditional & eco-friendly Maharashtrian Poshak.

Empowerment Through Employment
Our mission is to identify and uplift underprivileged girls and women from various communities, equipping them with skills and training to become independent, self-sufficient earners who support their families with confidence and dignity.)) and can earn for themselves and their families. Their wages in the beginning were Rs 3600/- p.m.; today, their wages are Rs. 10, 000/- p.m. and more. Several of them work with us either as employees or have been assisted to set up small units at their homes/villages; as individuals or as groups of women.
Our activities are not just limited to training and providing employment; we look at other aspects as well, the ones that not just help our trainees become productive but live a better life. Organizing awareness campaign for various govt beneficiary schemes is a regular activity at SUS Garments.
Today, we have over 150 modern Industrial stitching machines, Computers for embroidery designing, two 12-head computerized embroidery machines, Vacuum Ironing machines, sections for threads, buttons & buttonhole work as well as a strong Quality Control Department.
We have worked with leading brands like VIP, 109 FARHENHEIT, RAYMONDS, OFF ROAD, PEPPERMINT, ORGANIC KHADI, Canyon Club, LV Shinde etc and manufacture their products and have been also able to develop our own brand called SGAA for traditional Marathi attire which provide Men’s wear and Ladies garments.
Sus Garment's Journey
The boutique had a variety of ladies wear such as Kurtis, Dresses, Dress material, Sarees, Purses, Jewellery, and Accessories
We started a small manufacturing unit with 8 stitching machines. We used to stitch ladies wear i.e. Kurtis, Dresses, Tops etc.
When artisans started joining us via training and other workshops, with the help of Govt. of India we got an opportunity to start a SFURTI project. Where we gave training to 1000+ women in the area of garment stitching and production.

With the help of MAVIM, We inaugurated the Garment Cluster at Dhamangaon Dev., Darwah, Yavatmal District, Which uplifted over 500 women by providing them with vital skills and sustainable job opportunities in the garment sector.

Advisory Team

Priyadarshini Gaikwad
Director (BE/ MBA)
Priyadarshini Gaikwad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (BE COMP) and an MBA in Finance and Marketing. Her journey in the garment industry began in 2013, when she started a small boutique driven by her passion for design and women’s empowerment.
With a vision to scale, she went on to establish Glamocity Clothing Pvt. Ltd., where she served as the Director, focusing on quality production and market expansion. Her deep engagement with grassroots artisans led her to initiate a SFURTI project of Sus Garment Artisans Association as SPV Director, empowering and training 1,000+ women artisans in garment manufacturing and entrepreneurship.
Priyadarshini is a subject expert in garment manufacturing and is dedicated to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through skill development, cluster development, and industry innovation.

Garment Marketing Strategist | Brand Development Specialist

Vrishali Hulsoorkar
Director (MBA in Finance)
Vrishali Anil Hulsoorkar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) and an MBA in Marketing. She began her journey in the garment industry with the launch of a small boutique in 2013, where she played a key role in shaping the brand's identity and connecting with customers.
With the expansion of operations, she became an integral part of Glamocity Clothing Pvt. Ltd., overseeing all marketing and branding activities. Her efforts contributed to building a strong market presence and positioning the company as a trusted name in the garment sector.
Vrishali also played a vital role in the successful implementation of the SFURTI project of Sus Garment Artisans as an Implementing Agency Director, working closely with artisans to promote their work, developing market linkages, and enhancing visibility for cluster-based products. Her strategic marketing approach helped amplify the impact of the initiative, benefiting over 1,000 women artisans.
With a deep understanding of the garment industry and consumer behavior, Vrishali continues to lead all marketing functions—driving brand growth, digital outreach, and customer engagement

Shobha Jagtap
Director
Shobha Jagtap is a dedicated and experienced artisan handler, playing a vital role in the smooth functioning of the garment cluster under the SFURTI project. She is responsible for mobilizing women artisans, coordinating training programs, managing production schedules, and ensuring effective communication across the cluster.
With a strong connection to the community, Shobha has been instrumental in supporting and guiding over 1,000 women artisans, helping them build skills, gain confidence, and become financially independent through garment manufacturing.
Her deep grassroots involvement, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to empowering rural women make her a key pillar in the success and sustainability of the project.

Neeta Gujar
Additional Director
Neeta Gujar serves as the Additional Director, contributing significantly to the overall operations, administration, and implementation of the SFURTI project. With a strong sense of organization and leadership, she plays a key role in coordinating between management, artisans, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of the cluster.
With a hands-on approach and a deep commitment to women’s empowerment, Neeta Gujar continues to strengthen the impact of the initiative and support the growth of a sustainable artisan-based ecosystem.

Waman Jagtap
Senior Consultant (ME)
Waman Jagtap brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to Sus Garment Artisans Association as a dedicated technical consultant. A seasoned expert in the electrical engineering field, he retired as the Chief Engineer at MSEDCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited), where he led numerous key projects with a focus on infrastructure, reliability, and innovation.
With decades of experience in managing large-scale electrical systems and mentoring engineering teams, Mr. Jagtap now contributes his technical knowledge to support the sustainable development of Sus Garment. His guidance has been invaluable in optimizing our facility’s power systems and creating a safer, more efficient working environment.
His dedication to social impact and women-led initiatives makes him a cherished advisor in our mission. We are honored to have his ongoing mentorship as we work toward inclusive and empowered community growth.

Sunil Hulsoorkar
Consultant (BCS, PGDGM)
Sunil Hulsoorkar leads the Corporate Uniform Division at Sus Garment Artisans Association with a strong focus on quality, client satisfaction, and timely delivery. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of industrial and corporate requirements, he ensures that each uniform produced meets the highest standards in design, comfort, and durability.
Sunil plays a key role in managing orders, liaising with clients, and coordinating production with the artisan teams. His leadership has helped Sus Garment establish trusted partnerships with various organizations across sectors including education, hospitality, and manufacturing.
With a hands-on approach and a commitment to empowering women through sustainable employment, Sunil is an integral part of our mission to provide professional, ethical, and community-driven garment solutions.
